50 Minutes is a workplace intervention originating from multiple years of research at the University of Southern Denmark. It has been proven through several RCTs to reduce sick leave and increase productivity.

15 years of research behind 50 Minutes

The research is based on scientific papers about how physical activity in your freetime can prevent a number of lifestyle diseases. This is both how physical activity can benefit both sedentary and physically heavy work
The research show that 50 minutes of physical activity a week can:

  • Reduced sick leave on 37%
  • Increased ability to work on 6%
  • Increased productivity on 6%
  • Reduces stress

Created by the worlds leading researchers within the area

50 Minutes has been developed together with University of Southern Denmark, in Odense, from where the concept originally was created over a decade ago.
It originated at the department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, where one of the world’s leading researchers, Karen Søgaard, is the driving force behind it.
